Three people have been arrested for the shooting death of a 34-year-old man during a parking dispute in Delhi’s Preet Vihar, police said Tuesday. The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Monday when a heated argument broke out between the victim, Pankaj Nayyar, his brother Paras, and Gaurav Sharma. During the altercation, Sharma allegedly fired a shot that struck Nayyar in the chest.
Nayyar was rushed to a nearby private hospital but was declared brought dead. An FIR under charges of murder (BNS Section 103(1)), voluntarily causing hurt (Section 115(2)), acts done with common intention (Section 3(5)), and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act was registered against Sharma.
Police confirmed that three dedicated teams were formed to trace the suspects, using CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and local intelligence. Acting on specific inputs, Gaurav Sharma (42), his associate Sunil Sharma (41), and his stepson Siddharth were apprehended. The victim’s body has been sent to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway.
