Delhi to host ‘Colours of Nagaland’ autumn festival ahead of hornbill 2025

New Delhi is set to experience the rich culture and heritage of Nagaland as the 4th edition of the Autumn Festival ‘Colours of Nagaland’ returns on 24 and 25 October at the lawns of Nagaland House, 29 Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Road.
Organised by Nagaland Tourism, Government of Nagaland, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the festival serves as a curtain-raiser to the 26th edition of the iconic Hornbill Festival.
Minister for Tourism, Art and Culture, Government of NCT Delhi Kapil Mishra, will attend as Chief Guest.
Nagaland’s Minister for Tourism and Higher Education Temjen Imna Along, said the previous three editions received overwhelming warmth and participation from the people of Delhi. “Encouraged by this success, we return with renewed enthusiasm and new experiences. The festival is both an invitation and a glimpse into the spirit of Nagaland, strengthening the cultural bond with the heart of India,” he said.
The two-day event will highlight Naga cuisine, handicrafts, textiles, art, and music. Performances will feature artists such as Colored Keys, The Mahila Band from India’s Got Talent, and The Eastory Project.
Stalls and exhibits will include: Made in Nagaland, Kintem, Department of Sericulture showcasing award-winning Eri (Naga) Silk, Department of Horticulture presenting fresh seasonal produce and Department of Tribal Affairs, among others Visitors can enjoy traditional dishes, live weaving and craft demonstrations, jewellery and textile presentations, and musical performances by renowned Naga artists, bands and choirs.
The opening day will be an invitation-only programme, while the second day will be open to the public. Since its inception in 2000, the Hornbill Festival has grown into one of India’s most prominent cultural events.
This year marks its 26th edition, and the Autumn Festival in Delhi aims to bring a slice of that celebration to those who may not be able to travel to Nagaland.
