IndiGo has cancelled 13 flights on Sunday due to forecasted bad weather, with two affected by operational reasons. Routes from major cities including Chandigarh, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Amritsar, Kolkata, Chennai, Jaipur, Gaya, and Pune are impacted. The airline had already cancelled 57 flights on Saturday for similar reasons and continues to cut services amid stricter pilot duty and rest norms.
Air India issued a travel advisory citing dense fog and reduced visibility across northern India, potentially affecting flights in Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Varanasi. The DGCA’s winter fog window (Dec 10–Feb 10) requires low-visibility-ready pilots and aircraft under CAT-III norms. IndiGo, originally cleared for 2,144 daily flights, now operates a reduced 1,930 per day after government-imposed cuts following earlier mass cancellations.
