In a move to safeguard and support job seekers from Eastern Nagaland, the Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) has formally constituted a Job Help Committee to assist individuals arriving in Delhi in search of employment.
In a press release, DENSU noted a steady rise in the number of youth from Eastern Nagaland migrating to Delhi for job opportunities. While commending their ambition and resilience, the Union expressed concern over the growing instances of individuals falling victim to fraudulent job offers and recruitment scams. To address this issue, the Job Help Committee will serve as a verification and advisory body, assisting individuals in confirming the authenticity of job offers and recruitment agencies before any engagement. DENSU urges all community members seeking employment in Delhi to contact the DENSU Job Help Line for verification support prior to pursuing any job opportunity. This precautionary step is aimed at reducing risk and preventing exploitation.
The Union also clarified that DENSU does not offer or guarantee employment, and the helpline’s role is strictly limited to support and verification. The DENSU job help line committee contact details are: Lumsela Sangtam (Convenor) 8657371074, Thumloy H. Phom (Co-Convenor): 8368373126, Nokching Chang (9267920860), Khenu S Khiamniungan (8413859326), Ayan Y Konyak (8730006174).
