A fully automated dental unit was inaugurated at Hezükhu Memorial District Hospital Zunheboto (HMDHZ) by Sumi Hoho president, I Nikheto Jimomi as special guest on August 14.
According to a DIPR report, the unit was inaugurated in the presence of medical superintendent Zunheboto Dr C Yanpo Kithan, Sumi Totimi Hoho (STH) president, Boholi Awomi and other dignitaries.
Chairperson of the programme, dental surgeon Dr Easter highlighted the gathering about the facilities provided by Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, government of Nagaland through the National Oral Health Programme.
Special guest, Jimomi while appreciating the installation of the much-required facility at the district hospital pointed out lack of other facilities in the hospital.
He said the hospital was upgraded to 73 bedded hospital some 13 years back and that it still lacks behind in many ways.
Lauding the medical department for their selfless service during the pandemic, he said the team led by the institution heads had successfully attended the needs of the district with whatever limited resources they had.
Earlier, Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto associate pastor (general) Ghünato Assumi pronounced the invocation.
