A departmental coordination meeting was held at the Medziphema ADC’s office on December 4, chaired by ADC. Thsuvisie Phoji. According to a DIPR report, discussions were held on policy for restricting the use of plastics in Nagaland with a view to eradicate the menace of plastic and the serious environmental and ecological challenges posed by its rampant use. It also deliberated on how the administration in co-ordination with village councils and municipal bodies could sensitize key areas so that proactive action to discourage use of plastics in Medziphema subdivision is encouraged. The meeting also discussed some important issues regarding Medziphema subdivision. All heads of offices under Medziphema attended the meeting.
