Deplorable NH-702A: SKH seeks govt’s intervention

Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) has sought the intervention of the state government on the deplorable road condition along the Mariani-Zunheboto National Highway 702 A.

In a press release, SKH president H. Kashito Yepthomi and general secretary Hetoho S. Zhimomi stated that the potholes on NH-7902A stretch between Khitsakita-Asukho and Zunheboto have “become a pervasive problem” making the travel along that route “arduous and hazardous.”

The SKH has, therefore, appealed to the state government and National Highway authority to intervene and take swift action to undertake immediate repairs by filling the potholes with stones or any suitable material “as an interim measure” to provide temporary relief to the affected public of Zunheboto district. “This temporary solution is essential to ensure the safety and mobility of our people until a more comprehensive and lasting repair can be carried out,” SKH stated.
