Public of Tseminyu, Pughoboto sub-divisions and Wozhero Range in Wokha district have urged the Power department to immediately restore and upgrade the 33 KVA Tseminyu feeder line and also placed three point charters of demand.
In a representation to the Chief Engineer, Power Department, the public has demanded to arrange alternative power supply within 48 hours before the restoration of the damaged 33 KVA Tseminyu feeder line. It has also urged the department to book the errant culprit immediately and take appropriate action according to the law of the land. It has further urged to upgrade the sub station at Tseminyu sub-division to enable direct tapping from tower line for better transmission of power to the affected areas.
The representation appended by president of Consumer Forum Tseminyu Achanbi Kez and the chairman Pughoboto town Viyikhu G Wotsa said the public can no longer bear the lackadaisical attitude of the Power Department particularly Wokha division as the concerned consumers are deprived of even the allocated power supply apart from the scheduled load shedding. It alleged that Tseminyu, Pughoboto sub-divisions and Wozhero Range are always at the receiving end due to the indifferent attitude of the concerned department.
It also stated that the present erratic power crisis is directly affecting thousands of students particularly candidates of HSLC and HSSLC who are preparing for the examinations.
The representation rued that 33 KVA feeder line supplying from Wokha to Tseminyu, Pughoboto sub-divisions and Wozhero Range is being continuously interrupted by errant individual/ group/ landowner due to rampant felling of trees, bamboos and others along the feeder line.
