
Directorate of economics and statistics (E&S) today bade farewell to two of its officers, director Rewelhi Kronu and additional director Paokhokam Singson.
Speaking on the occasion, advisor for E&S, evaluation, fisheries & aquatic resources, L Khumo lauded the endeavours and services rendered by the two officers. Khumo also conveyed best wishes from the state government and wished them a happy retired life.
Special secretary of the department, Kevileno Angami congratulated the retiring officers for giving the best and also serving the government and retiring in good health.
Amiable in nature and always ready to listen to problems and give advices, she said while describing the retiring officers.
She thanked them for the services rendered, while also requesting them to be always approachable in times of requirement.
On behalf of the department, additional director Neidilhou Angami described the retiring officers as mentors and said that the contribution they rendered to the department was huge.
He also read out the service profile of the two officers and presented the reminiscences of their contributions towards the department. Retiring on superannuation, outgoing director Rewelhi Kronu said he was very proud to have worked with the department.
He joined in 1986 as ESO and went on deputation to other departments but came back and finally retired on superannuation.
The success in working with the department was because of the maximum support from the officers and staff of the department, he said while thanking them.
Retiring additional director Paokhokam Singson said he would always cherish working with the department.
Meanwhile, speeches were also delivered by Nagaland E&S service association president and joint director Neisatuo Puro, registrar Neibou Linyü for ministerial staff, district economics & statistics officers and line departments.
Retired director Y Sacheo Ovung also conveyed best wishes to the retiring officers and encouraged the new head of officers to lead the department with all sincerity. Family members of the retiring officers also spoke on the occasion and acknowledged the department for the support.
Earlier, joint director Charles N Kikon chaired the farewell programme while special number was presented by Weü Mero and deputy director & DESO Mon, Neizekho Angami offered benediction.
