Special outreach programme on flagship programmes of the central government was organized by directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, at Thekrejuma village on March 13.
According to FPO, DFP Tuensang, L. Casavi, resource person, Tekraj Sharma from the Indian Postal department emphasized the need in creating more awareness on all central government welfare schemes so that the real beneficiaries and the targeted communities could avail and reap benefits.
Tekraj also highlighted on the various central government schemes and its components such as PMJDY, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Sukhanya Samridhi Account.
L. Casavi pointed out that the main purpose of the programme was to sensitize people living in rural. The second session of the programme included question and answers sessions and quiz competition. A public rally was also held as part of the programme.
