DG Assam Rifles meets CM, reviews Dimapur sector op

Director General of Assam Rifles (DGAR), Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera met Nagaland chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio on May 22, and later visited Kashiram Basti, Dimapur, where he conducted a comprehensive review of the operational readiness and ongoing activities under the command units of Dimapur Sector.
The visit was aimed at assessing the preparedness of the Assam Rifles in ensuring internal security and maintaining regional stability in the critical North East region.
During his visit, DGAR interacted with the troops and commended their professionalism, commitment.
Concluding the visit, DGAR emphasized the importance of heightened vigilance and robust civil-military cooperation in ensuring long-term peace and security. He reiterated Assam Rifles’ commitment to working closely with local communities, fostering mutual trust, and ensuring the successful execution of operations in support of civil administration.
