DGAR in Kohima

In his maiden visit to Nagaland, Lt. Gen K.S. Yadava, AVSM, SM, VSM, Director General Assam Rifles and his lady wife on Thursday visited some important places in the Kohima.
In his meeting with the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, the general officer assured the stand of the Assam Rifles to provide environmental security. He further affirmed to extend cooperation to the civil administration in maintaining law and order to ensure peace in the state.
The general officer with his team also visited the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home and presented one set of computer to the home.
President of Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Zaputuoü Angami, acknowledged the Assam Rifles for their continues support and their strive towards peace in the land.  Lt. Gen K.S. Yadava paid homage to the heroes of World War -II at the Kohima War cemetery. He also visited the Cheswema garrison. The general along with his wife will leave for Tuensang on Friday.
