Principal of Dimapur Govt. College, Kuholi Chishi was accorded a warm farewell on March 5 in the college premises.
The outgoing principal in her farewell speech exhorted the gathering to maintain the momentum and keep pushing forward ahead to prepare for the next 2nd cycle of NAAC accreditation. In this she stated that it was imperative for all to do their part well from the faculty to grade IV staff. She also remarked that it was a challenging time for her in Dimapur Govt. college during her over two and half years of stay in the institution. She also admitted that she had learnt a lot from the experience as a fruitful one. The outgoing principal also thanked everyone present in the farewell and said she was overwhelmed by the programme organized and the gifts given to her.
The programme was chaired by assistant professor, A. Moamongla W.Aier and invocation by associate professor, Sedevino. Special songs were presented by the evangelical union of the college and associate professors, Mefutiba and Dr L.M Ngullie of the Economics dept. Farewell speeches were given by vice principal Louis Humtsoe, president of Dimapur Govt. College Teachers Association, Dr K.N Singh, Sr HA Ashok Kumar on behalf of the ministerial staff, representative from the students council, co-ordinator of community college, M. Chumrenthung Ezung and voluntary speeches were also delivered by Mefutiba and Dr Maonsangba.The programme ended with a benediction by associate professor of English department, L.T Yepthomi.
