On the occasion of the Republic Day 2024, the Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, Rupin Sharma, and Deputy Commandant General (DCG) Home Guard & Civil Defence (HG&CD), Nagaland, Medozhalie Pienyu, have been awarded President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM).
Over 1,000 police personnel have been awarded with different categories of gallantry and service medals on the eve of the 75th Republic Day, a Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) statement said Thursday. This includes 277 gallantry medals. Three police officers from Nagaland have also been awarded with Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM). The police officers include SDPO Peter Shuya Angami, ABSI Toshimongba Imchen and ABSI Archer Phyobemo.
