DGP Nagaland notifies

Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, L.L. Doungel has informed that as per the government notification dated June 12, 2017, the rank pattern of inspectors of Nagaland police have been changed from the present red/blue ribbons in the epaulette with three stars to one star without ribbon in the epaulette. 
It has been informed that inspectors posted in armed branch of DEF and those in the unarmed branch should shoulder title as NP while inspectors in NAP battalions shall wear NAP. 
DGP said the information has been necessitated because of the confusion in the minds of the general public.
