Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) has commended the police department in apprehending Likhao Ezung, a Sardar Sweeper at District Hospital Dimapur, in connection with the alleged sexual assault and attempted rape of a woman on February 24.
In a statement, WCYO acknowledged the ongoing investigation, noting that despite initial challenges in gathering evidence, authorities made concerted efforts to bring all suspects to justice. WCYO said that experts have also been involved in the probe to ensure a thorough examination of the case.
The organisation confirmed that the accused, Likhao Ezung, is currently under judicial custody. WCYO assured the public that the case is being pursued strictly in accordance with the law and expressed confidence that justice will be served at the earliest.
