DHD Blood Centre signs MoU with ICFAI

DIMAPUR: Blood Centre, District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICFAI University Nagaland on September 18, with the shared objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and contributing to the cause of “Saving Lives through Voluntary Blood Donation.”
The MoU was signed by Dr. Rongsenmar Lkr, Medical Officer, Blood Centre, District Hospital Dimapur, and Dr. Rupanka Bhuyan, Registrar, ICFAI University Nagaland, in the presence of officials from both organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rongsenmar emphasised the need to promote voluntary blood donation drives across the state and create greater awareness among the public about the importance of regular blood donation. Dr. Bhuyan described voluntary blood donation as a noble form of social service and expressed the University’s commitment to contributing to this important cause through the collaboration.
The MoU marked a step towards strengthening institutional collaboration and encouraging greater community participation in voluntary blood donation, thereby contributing to the availability of safe blood for those in need.
