Doctors and other staff working under Medical Superintendent (MS) District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) have reportedly not received salary for the last two months.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, one of the employees disclosed that doctors, nurses and other staff working under DHD-MS have not received two-month salary despite working relentlessly.
“COVID Hospital Dimapur is one of the busiest District Hospitals amongst all the district hospitals in the state. The staff here are working tirelessly, however, we have not received our salary for last two months,” lamented the employee. The employee claimed that other government employees working under chief medical officer (CMO) Dimapur and other districts have already received their salaries while those working under DHD-MS have been neglected.
“The doctors, nurses and particularly the Grade-IV staff are facing difficulties due to non-payment of salary,” said the source.
It may be mentioned that COVID Hospital Dimapur along with the rest of the district hospitals in the state have commenced vaccination for citizens above 60 years and those over 45 years with specified co-morbidities starting March 1, 2021.
