District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) held its Medical Fellowship Thanksgiving & Foundation Day Program with contractor, T. Rio as the special invitee on Saturday at DHD Chapel hall, Dimapur.
Speaking at the program, T. Rio said that thanksgiving services were the most important and biggest service of one’s life.
He spoke about how he gave offerings every Sunday and his position was upgraded increasing his offering capacity. He mentioned that his commitment towards the offering every Sunday had motivated him to not miss Sunday services.
He also announced that the contract which was flagged off in 2017 to help poor patients by giving Rs 1000 per day under District hospital Dimapur would continue in the years to come.
While delivering a welcome address, medical superintendent DHD, Dr. Kheshito Zhimo acknowledged T. Rio for his selfless contribution towards the poor patients of the hospital. He also thanked all the organizations and individuals who had been supporting the hospital financially and materially.
Also, delivering a report on the overall activities of the poor patient fund, nursing sister, Khutoli informed the gathering that the poor patient fund had been started from February 2018. She said that the fund was utilized for the poorest patients, cancer patients, HIV patients, accident patients, unidentified patients, and patients who stay in the hospital for long durations.
The program was chaired by medical officer and in-charge blood bank DHD, Dr. Temsu; and the offertory prayer was said by Dr. C. Tetsoe. Witness in song was presented by ART & ICTC staff and the benediction and prayer for the feast was said by chaplain DHD, Rev Yhunlo Thong.
