District Health Society (DHS), Zunheboto organised essay competition on “Importance of Iodine in our daily Life” on October 24 at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Satakha.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO), Dr. Hoito Sema spoke on the importance of iodine in our day today life.
In the competition, Atto of class VIII bagged the first prize while Noghipu of class VIII and Vina of class IX was adjudged as second and third respectively. Winners were awarded with cash prize and certificates and all the participants were awarded with certificates.
The programme was chaired by BAM Satakha block, Hinoto, vice principal GHSS Sathaka, Nikali Aye delivered welcome address, demonstration of testing Iodine was done by DCM, Viketol while vote of thanks was proposed by GNM Satakha PHC, Kiholi. 20 students participated in the competition.
