The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Chiechama, Kohima organised a four-day “Spring Fest” from May 12 to 15, 2026, to welcome the season of spring and to celebrate cultural diversity, promote teamwork and creativity, and encourage student-teachers in various artistic talents such as music, literature and dance.
The highlights of the programme included elocution, extempore, creative singing competition, creative writing, quiz, folk song, indigenous games and indigenous cuisine competition.
