Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) Longmatra Block launched the digital transaction at gram panchayat level campaign under Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2. 0 at Tethuyo village under Longmatra Block on May 19.
Speaking at the launch event, Kuramong AC, FI, Longmatra Block informed that the campaign was national movement to promote digital transaction and to provide financial services at the door step.
He said that in order to facilitate women SHG’s in accessing banking services, BC Sakhi from the village has been deputed by the NSRLM. He therefore encouraged everyone to avail the services provided by BC Sakhi.
He also highlighted on the various social security schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY etc and Health Insurance schemes like PMJAY and CMHIS provided by the Government. However, he said most of the rural villagers were not enrolled in these schemes. He therefore encouraged the villagers to enrol in these schemes also.
BC Sakhi from Tethuyo village, Florence informed to the villagers to approach her for any type of bank transaction and enrolment for various social security schemes provided by the Government. She said that they don’t need to travel to bank for accessing individual Bank related transaction.
Earlier, SHG member, Mary invoked God’s blessings while Kurakmong Ac-FI chaired the programme and introduced BC Sakhi to the participants. Transaction and enrolment drive was held right after the programme.
