Dimapur Baptist Women Union holds prayer rally

Amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Dimapur Baptist Women Union (DBWU) organised a prayer rally from Holy Cross Higher Secondary School junction till Bata Charali junction on the theme, “Stop war”, here, on Wednesday.
The rally saw participation from more than 500 women from different Churches and organisations in traditional attires.
On reaching the destination, DBWU president Khontele Seb delivered the welcome address and acknowledged all who had gathered in unity to pray for the ongoing war.
She said that the prayer rally was held in solidarity with victims of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Some of the placards read, “By destroying women and children, you are destroying yourself”, “Killing is sin”, “We will not learn how to live in peace by killing each other’s children”.
Earlier, the rally began with a prayer while members from various organisations also delivered solidarity speeches.
