Dimapur Bengali Samaj extends relief to Mon landslide, flood victims

DIMAPUR: Dimapur Bengali Samaj on August 5, 2026 extended humanitarian assistance to families affected by the devastating landslides and floods in Mon district.
Relief materials comprising rice, mustard oil and dal were handed over to the president of the Konyak Union, Mon HQ, as a token of solidarity and support. The materials were contributed on behalf of the Dimapur Bengali Samaj, Nagaland by Bengali residents of Mon.
The initiative reflected the community’s deep concern and solidarity with affected families who suffered loss of lives, homes and belongings due to the natural disaster. Dimapur Bengali Samaj expressed heartfelt sorrow over the tragedy and extended sympathy to bereaved families and all those impacted.
It hoped that the humble contribution would provide some immediate relief and support to the affected people during this difficult time.
