Dimapur CSOs resolve to strengthen coordination

DIMAPUR, JUN 22 (NPN): Dimapur-based civil society organisations (CSOs) have resolved to strengthen cooperation and coordination among themselves and address disputes through collective consultation mechanisms under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur.
According to a joint statement issued by NCD president GK Rengma, GBUDS(S) president Kholie Kapfo, NWHD president Y Imlinungla, DCCI president Akashe Zhimomi, DUCCF president Zasivikho Zakiesato and DNSU president Hinoto P Aomi, the resolutions were adopted at a meeting jointly convened by NCD and NWHD.
They stated that, following a series of discussions, CSOs acknowledged past misunderstandings and resolved to work towards stronger cooperation on matters of common concern. They also agreed that CSOs should refrain from encroaching upon established authorities and mandated jurisdictions.
Further, the house resolved that any issues, disputes or grievances arising among constituent organisations, tribal apex bodies and CSOs within Dimapur district would be addressed through collective consultation, dialogue and resolution within the purview of NCD.
They said the resolution was aimed at promoting collective responsibility, mutual respect, harmony and unity among all constituent bodies.
