An event to bring different communities and denizens of Dimapur to celebrate unity and diversity, “The December Fest” organized by ‘The Better Dimapur’ (TBD) team in collaboration with the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Naga Council Dimapur, GB Union Dimapur, Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation, and Naga Women Hoho Dimapur will be held from December 18 to 20 at DDSC Stadium.
Meanwhile, the organizers have clarified that the fest is being organised in the interest of the citizens and with no political motive, keeping in mind the festive season, heralding in the Christmas and New Year celebration.
It said that the TBD team is constituted of independent groups looking towards making Dimapur a better place and making people aware on various social, civic and health issues.
Highlights of the fest includes– aero-modelling show, coral competition, exhibition & competition– photography, flower; open dance competition, waste to art competition, face painting competition, Santa Claus competition, traditional events– Tug of war and bamboo stilt race.
Artistes/groups like Kate Shoo (Ukraine)– DJ & model, Ravator (Delhi), Zuchobeni Tungoe, Meribeni Patton and Dj Sumika, Musikal Mojor, Musik-A School, K.C. Lights Shillong (Winner of International Choral meet 2018) and ANTB (Alobo Naga & the Band) will be performing.
On the final day (Dec 20), Christmas choral competition, open choral competition, cleanest colony award and concert by various artistes of Dimapur will be held.
