Valedictory programme of the “Year of Construction Worker 2016-2017” for Dimapur district was held on July 8 at Government Women ITI, Dimapur.
According to DIPR report, the programme was organized and sponsored by the directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and initiated by the Youth Net and Zynonique. The programme which started in the month of May have so far covered seven districts, with four more (Mon, Longleng, Zunheboto and Kohima) to be covered. A total of 350 people have so far been trained which was inclusive of 51 people from Dimapur district.
Commissioner & secretary, Labour, Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Bendangkokba, while congratulating the young workers also encouraged them to work hard. He reiterated that the department would assist in providing such trainings in the future.
The programme was chaired by Kevitsu Doze and included address by DEO, Savio, and distribution of certificates. Chairman, Zynorique Initiative, Richard Belho later delivered the vote of thanks.
Team Red and Kidongmeren Longkumer were presented gifts for emerging as the best team and best trainer respectively.
