Dimapur District TBCAholds installation ceremony

Dimapur District Tennis Ball Cricket Association (TBCA) of Nagaland held its installation ceremony for the 2025–2029 tenure on Saturday evening at Hotel Ornate, Conference Hall. The association functions under the aegis of the Tennis Ball Cricket Association of Nagaland, affiliated with the Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India and recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
Toshimeren was formally inducted as president for the five-year term, with Visakholie taking charge as general secretary, alongside newly appointed office bearers and two executive members.
In his address, president Toshimeren highlighted the association’s commitment to providing a platform for young and aspiring players. He announced plans to organise a district-level tournament in December, calling upon colony representatives across Dimapur to form and register teams for selection.
Nagaland state association president, Dr. Amos Lkr also attended the event and stressed the importance of strengthening the sport at the grassroots level through district-wise formations. Reflecting on last year’s state-level tournament at DDSC Stadium, which saw participation from 17 teams with 11 registered members, he urged for greater turnout and enthusiasm in the coming season.
This year, the state-level tournament was scheduled for April. He also mentioned that open registrations, with verification to be carried out for all interested players. The leadership expressed optimism that, with growing participation, Nagaland will soon be able to field a team at the national level.
