Dimapur Excise conducts raids; seizes IMFL

The Excise personnel of Narcotic Cell, Mobile Squad and Dimapur District Excise in its continued effort to eradicate sale of illegal liquor conducted raids on various localities in and around Dimapur Town on March 18.


In a press release issued by Joint Commissioner of Excise (NC) Nagaland, Dimapur, S Phyobemo Kikon informed that in the course of the operation, approximately 1776 bottles (108 cases) of various brands of IMFL were seized by Excise duty personnel.

A total of 57 persons were arrested and penalized as per appropriate sections of the NLTP Act. The department has warned that it will continue on its lookout for violators and also appealed to all public to provide information related to illicit liquor trade.
