Dimapur is gearing up for its biggest cultural celebration as the city hosts a grand two-day Dandiya and Garba Night on September 28 and 29, organised by Unity Circle Club in collaboration with Lions Club Champion supported by Lions Club Blue Venda at the Lions Centre, Midland Road. For the first time in Nagaland, three major clubs have joined hands to bring this double dhamaka, blending tradition with high-energy entertainment.
The event was officially announced at a press conference held on Monday at Hotel Europa Inn. Organizers revealed that the two-day fiesta will feature four dynamic DJs—Vishakha, Jeff, Bella, and Shree. With live dhol performances, a maha aarti every evening from 6 pm onwards, and exciting contests such as Best Group Dance and Best Dandiya Dancer, the nights promise to be nothing short of spectacular.
Tickets have been designed to make the festival accessible for all. A special two-day entry pass is priced at 399, while women can grab a limited pass at499 that admits four people together. Only 400 of these special passes will be available, making them a hot pick for college girls and groups of friends.
Organizers have also assured that security measures will be in place to ensure a safe environment, particularly for women attendees.
To keep the festive vibe alive, the venue will feature different decorations on both days, along with multiple selfie booths and a wide range of food stalls to complete the experience.
Prizes will be awarded to both kids and adults, judged by a panel that includes a local expert and a special guest from Gujarat. Free dandiya sticks will be provided to all participants, encouraging everyone to join the dance floor and celebrate together.
The event is powered by Rollick Ice Cream and co-powered by Rajesh Kumar Sethi, while the second evening will see Gieendale presenting Season 2 of Dandiya & Garba Night.
