Dimapur Government College achieves Multidisciplinary Milestone

Dimapur Government College (DGC) achieved significant milestone, as desired under NEP, through introduction of Science Stream from the July session of 2025. The college now offers Arts, Commerce and Science, with the new addition making it one of the few multidisciplinary colleges in Nagaland.
A press release by DGC stated that the courses that currently offer include Major in Mathematics and Physics, and Minor in Chemistry and Computer Science, adding that new courses were expected to be added in the future.
A short dedicatory programme was held on July 22 at the Science Block, with Principal DGC, Dr. T. Tiakaba Jamir welcoming the students, (totaling 38 in number), and faculty and congratulated them on creating DGC history. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude particularly to Minister, Temjen Imna Along for bringing the long felt need of college to fruition, supported by department officers and stakeholders of DGC.
