Dimapur: Man injured after jumping off moving train

A man sustained multiple injuries after reportedly jumping from the Rajdhani Express before it came to a complete halt at Platform No. 3 of Dimapur Railway Station on the night of February 19.
According to Railway Protection Force (RPF), the incident occurred when the individual attempted to alight from the moving train and fell into the gap between the coach and the platform, resulting in serious injuries.
Officials said rescue operations were launched immediately, during which a portion of the platform had to be dismantled to safely extricate the victim.
The injured person was first administered treatment at District Hospital Dimapur and was later referred to Dibrugarh Medical College at the request of family members. Authorities informed that the victim sustained multiple fractures but is currently stable and undergoing medical treatment.
