Staff Reporter

The stage is set, the excitement is palpable, and the time is here! Live Now Events, in partnership with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), along with an array of partners and sponsors, is all set to host the 5th edition of the Dimapur Music Festival 2023 (DMF)-The Happy Fest, at Noune Resort on Saturday.

The festival’s stage is adorned with promising lineups of various bands, featuring “A Melodic Odyssey”, “Polar Lights”, “Trance Effect”, “Atsa Lang Roths”, “Wishes and Dreams”, “DJ Ina”, and TaFMA Battle of Bands winner, “Euphonic”. Playing host to the festival is Eva Jamir.

This was informed by Creative Head, DMF, Menuolhoulie Kire, at a press conference held at Shunammite Inn, on Friday. He was accompanied by secretary, Live Now, Burakum Ao.
Kire shared that DMF aims to be more than just a music festival, claiming the festival to be an immersive experience that transcends the stage, inviting attendees to explore array of culinary delights at food stalls and engage in lively games. “This event pledges not only entertainment but also a holistic celebration of life, art, and community”, he stated.

Providing an insight into the history of DMF, he revealed that Live Now Events birthed the idea to create a dedicated music festival for the people of Nagaland, “Something which could be considered as our own”, he stated.

Recognizing the rapid growth of music in the region and the absence of an Annual Music Festival for Dimapur, he added that Live Now Events took it upon themselves to provide an event the community could take pride in, and attributed the growth and success of DMF to everyone involved.

Explaining the decision to shift the venue to Noune Resort, Kire noted the aim was to offer festival-goers an experience away from the hustle and bustle of the urban city, emphasizing that music knows no boundaries and the festival’s mission is to unite people. He later informed that the festival gates would open at 2 pm, with the music set to commence at 6 pm. Tickets are priced at Rs. 2000 for VIP (Admit 2 with additional perks), Rs. 400 for general admission (Admit 1), while children below the age of 12 to enjoy free entry.

Additionally, he informed that one lucky attendee would be selected to receive a one-night complimentary stay or an angling session at the resort. Kire further urged all music lovers and enthusiasts to come and enjoy “The Happy Fest”.
