Office of the commissioner of police, Dimapur has issued a lookout notice along with photograph of persons of a well-organized gang involved in looting and snatching of bags from innocent victims.
In a press release, police PRO requested the citizens to provide information of the persons. According to police, the Gang operates in a well-coordinated set-up wherein, some members observe activities of potential victims in the Banks or Market places. Other members follow their movements while another executes the crime by snatching the bags while being bike borne or using other deceptive tactics, police said.
Stating that the gang was suspected to comprise of 5-6 members and based across the state borders, police have warned the citizens to be alert of suspicious characters while visiting Banks and other financial institutions.
