Dimapur Police said it has apprehended four NSCN (I-M) functionaries on Friday while they were allegedly trying to “hijack a vehicle (SUV)” near New Medziphema area.
In a press note, ADCP & PRO identified the apprehended persons as- KS Yaoreingam (45 years) of PO/PS Litan, Ukhrul district (Manipur) ; Hovishe Yeptho (40 years) of PO/PS Aghunato, Zunheboto district; Sashimatsung (41 years) of PO/PS Chuchuyimlang, Mokokchung district and Kohringtha (19 yrs) of PO/PS Chakpikarong, Chandel district, Manipur.
ADCP & PRO disclosed that police also seized a Maruti vehicle used by the accused, and that a case has been registered under Medziphema police station in this connection.
Meanwhile, the crime branch personnel apprehended one person identified as Wisdom Yurnganing (34 yrs) of PS and district Ukhrul, Manipur for alleged illegal possession of crystal Meth drugs weighing 990 gram approximately from Naharbari junction area here. A case has been registered with East PS in this regard.
