Dimapur police notify ‘no fly zone’ on April 6

In view of the proposed transit of Prime Minister Modi to Assam via Dimapur Airport, the Dimapur police have declared the entire Chumoukedima district a “red zone” (no fly zone) from 6am to 6pm on April 6, 2026.
In an order, commissioner of police Dimapur, Aotula T. Imchen, strictly prohibited the use of any kind of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) or drones during this period.
Further, Dimapur police have restricted conduct of any kind of firing practice by security forces/ civil police/ central police/ private firing range or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms and bursting of any kind of firecrackers from 6am to 6pm of April 6, 2026.
