Dimapur Police have reaffirmed their commitment to the “war on drugs” campaign, covering three districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland. In a press note, office of the Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur stated that efforts to combat the illegal trafficking of Narcotics, Drugs, and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) continued unabated through stringent force deployment.
Meanwhile, Police arrested two persons along with suspected “Shan Flower”, concealed in soap boxes, from the railway station area here on Thursday. The arrested persons were identified as Abdul Suhid from Bowalgiri village in Morigaon district and Mazada Begum, wife of Jakir Hussain of Kunusa, Assam. Police also recovered 77 grams of Shan Flower drug. In this regard, police said a case had been registered under relevant provisions of law and further investigation was on.
