Dimapur police has informed that an unidentified body of a non-local male (50-55 years) was recovered on August 26 at Dimapur railway station, platform no. 2. Dimapur police PRO informed that the deceased was dark in complexion with grey hair, around 5 ft 5 inches in health and very thin. He was wearing a blue half-pant and white woollen shirt. On completion of all legal formalities, PRO said the body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination/identification. PRO said the deceased was “highly suspected” to have died of starvation and illness. Further, PRO has requested claimant, relatives, friends of the deceased to contact officer-in-charge, GRPS Dimapur.
