CNCCI lauds Dimapur police: Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has appreciated the Dimapur police for their prompt action in rescuing the four kidnapped businessmen from Dimapur on October 8, 2025 after taking suo motu cognizance of the case.
CNCCI through its media affairs demanded that police book those perpetrators and take strict action against the group involved, ensuring the severest punishment to set an example and deter future occurrences.
CNCCI stated that such proactive and decisive action by the police not only restored public confidence but also played a crucial role in keeping the city safe and ensuring a conducive environment for the business community to operate without fear or intimidation.
However, CNCCI said that many such incidents have occurred but often go unreported due to fear, threats, and intimidation. It said that kidnapping and summoning of businessmen to various camps has, regrettably, become a recurring issue.
CNCCI stated that both the business community and the general public often feel helpless in the face of such actions by armed groups, fearing for their lives and the safety of their family members.
CNCCI has, therefore, urged the Dimapur police not to hesitate in making public the names of individuals and groups involved in such anti-national activities carried out in the name of the Naga national movement, so people of Nagaland may judge for themselves.
It stated that such actions not only undermined the true principles of the Naga national movement but also bring disrepute to the noble cause and aspirations of the Naga people and smears the image of “Nagaland for Christ.”
CNCCI affirmed commitment to supporting all efforts that promote peace, safety, and lawful conduct within the business community and society at large.
