Dimapur police has informed that a body of an unidentified female non-local aged between 30-35 years (approx.) suspected to be murdered was retrieved at Tenyiphe-II, Chümoukedima.
According to Dimapur police PRO, on receiving telephonic information, the duty party of Chümoukedima police station went to the site. Police said inquest was conducted over the dead body by FSL team and in the presence of executive magistrate. PRO informed that the deceased was wearing a faded blue strip half pant, green and pink strip shawl; two ritual threads on the waist and left leg; black rubber band on the left arm, and her nails were painted with dark pink nail polish. On completion of all legal formalities, PRO informed that the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
Further, police have requested claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased to contact the officer-in-charge, women police station, Dimapur at 7085055027.
