Dimasa Kachari celebrates Bishu festival

Dimasa Kachari of Nagaland (DKN) has celebrated Bishu, the post harvesting festival, on January 27 in their respective villages.
Hundreds of villagers congregated at Dhansiripar and Doyapur in a colourful Dimasa traditional attire to observe the festival. Darogajan, Bamunpukhuri-I & II village also observed the festival in their locality.
On the occasion, Dimasa damsels presented cultural dances while men folk sung and played Muuri and Khram (Dimasa musical instrument). The events also included Reemin Nelaiba, Duyung-Silkaiba to mark the festival which was celebrated in other parts of the region on January 27 by Dimasa community. Dimasa Public Organisation Nagaland visited each village and conveyed Bishu greetings to the villagers.
