Chief minister T. R. Zeliang during his visit to Chegannur Ayurvedic Hospital at Kerala was visited by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Kolkata Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius accompanied by principal MGM Hr. Sec. School Dimapur, Fr. P. S. Varghese.
During the meeting, Zeliang offered land to Bishop to set up new higher and professional educational institutions in Nagaland.
It must be noted that Mar Gregarious Church, Kerala Christian church, Kohima, MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, MGM hostel, newly built MGM B.Ed college are well established in Nagaland and is under the Apostolic seal of Bishop Dr.Joseph Mar Dionysus, who is a frequent visitor to all these churches and institutions.
The Bishop thanked the chief minister for all the whole hearted support and help rendered towards the Holy church and institutions.
Chief Minister also remarked that he would like to visit Kerala again saying “the stay in God’s own country is a pleasant experience.”
