DISHA meeting in Monreviews development progress

DIMAPUR

The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Mon, under the chairmanship of Rajya Sabha MP, S Phangnon Konyak on Thursday.
According to a DIPR report, hosted by DC Wennyei Konyak, the meeting saw participation from key departmental representatives including Rural Development, PWD (R&B), CMO, DAO, EE (Power), PHE, and DUO.
Members presented updates on centrally sponsored schemes and district initiatives, addressing issues like PMAY-G/PMAY-HFA-U fund routing, awareness drives by lead banks, and health screenings for TB, JE, and sickle cell anaemia. Concerns over medical staff shortages, road development, smart metering, and JJM challenges were discussed.
The chair acknowledged notable achievements such as 100% Aadhaar coverage in two RD blocks and JJM progress but flagged absenteeism among Heads of Departments, demanding written explanations.
