
District level electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network (eVIN) refreshers training for cold chain handlers, DEO and VCCM was held in the conference hall of the chief medical officer’s office (CMO) Mon on Monday.
In a press release, media officer NHM Mon informed that while speaking at the programme, CMO Mon, Dr Kechongol Sophie acknowledged district immunization officer (DIO) Dr Shasinle Tep for carrying out many programmes under Universal Immunization Programme & Reproductive Child Health (UIP&RCH) with sincerity inspite of the additional workload concerning the pandemic.
Focusing on the training, Dr Kechongol said that the training was important as it was a technological solution for providing real time information and that the success of the programme would depend wholly on participants who would be responsible in tackling the app.
The training was conducted by project officer-operations UNDP Rajesh Khartu Monsang and vaccine cold chain manager, Mon Sosopem Muinao.
They facilitated the training on revised national immunization schedule with newly introduced vaccines; safe handling, maintenance and management of vaccines & Cold Chain Equipment (CCE); eVIN vaccine stock and distribution registers; standard operating procedures of mobile app, web interface revision and temperature locker features; field issues in eVIN & COWIN implementation.
