The fourth phase district level Social Audit Public (SAP) hearing under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (MGNREGA) was held on January 19 at the Conference Hall of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, during the hearing, state resource person, social audit unit Nagaland, Vepo Keyho highlighted on MGNREGA programme and the importance of social audit.
The project officer-cum-PO (MGNREGA) District Rural Development Agency (DRDA, Kohima, Kevilhoubeiü informed that gram panchayat/villages were Zhadima, Nachama, Tsiesema Bawe, Chiechama and Dihoma under RD Block Chiephobozou, and New Tesophenyu, Nsunyu, Sishunu, Tsongsa and K. Station under R.D Block Chunlikha.
The independent observers were assistant audit officer, Taorem Arun Singh from the office of the Accountant General and Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Botsa, Dr. Riku Khutso. The session chaired by PD/DPC (MGNREGA), Pfukrulhou Koza concluded with reading out village wise gram sabha resolution and vote of thanks by the chairperson.
