District Level Science Fair at Shamator

District Level Students’ Science Fair 2023 Science Seminar and Science Exhibition on the topic: “Millets-A super food or a diet fad?” and exhibition on Science and Technology, was held at the auditorium of Government Higher Secondary School, Shamator on September 1.


The event was organised by department of School Education in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland and Sub-Divisional Education Office, Shamator. SDEO Shamtor, Robert N Marathon highlighted the importance of the science fair and spoke about the importance of science and technology and exhorted the students to strive for excellence.


In the competition, Tsuyimla of GHSS Shamator was declared as the winner in the Science Seminar and in the Science Exhibition on Science & Technology, in single category, Kumrimong of Christian High School bagged the first position and in group category, Rachael and Sotharito of GHSS Shamator secured the first position. All the winners in the different categories were presented with prizes and certificates and all the participants were presented with certificates and cash by SDEO, Shamator.


Earlier, the programme began with an invocation by Lato, associate pastor (Youth)STBC and chaired by co-ordinator, EBRC, Shamator, A Kilongba.


The jurists of the science fair were Japuno, GT. (Sc) GMS.Leangkor, Yimtsula Yimchunger GT(Sc) GMS NAP Sector and Hongen Thangti Chang GT (Sc) GMS. Shamator “A” as the jurists. Students from both government and private school participated in the Science Fair.
