District Task Force meeting held in Wokha

Wokha district Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) conducted a meeting on February 10 in the DC’s conference hall.

According to DIPR report, nodal officer DTF-BBBP Wokha, EAC (Hq) Imtinungula Longkumer highlighted the activities and achievements of BBBP under Wokha district.

Up-coming activities were mentioned during the meeting which include medical camp at Ralan, encouragement gift to girls students who are going to appear HSLC and HSSLC 2021, distribution of baby kits to all the new born baby girl child, girls volley ball exhibition match on International Women Day on March 8, 2021 to stress on the importance of physical activities towards maintain a healthy lifestyle and challenge gender stereotype, conduct awareness programmed on people with disabilities (PWDs) Act, 2016 and to organise counseling session to all the sells girls in Wokha.

Chairman, DTF-BBBP and DC, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha congratulated DTF on BBBP for conducting the commendable activities in the district under the said scheme. He also urged all line departments to reactivate the activities undertaken by various departments as last year’s activities were done online due to the pandemic.

He further urged them to come forward with innovative schemes and incorporate with the Beti Padhao programme for the benefit of the girl child.
