DLCW organises awareness on ‘violence against women’

District Level Centre for Women (DLCW)Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Mokokchung in collaboration with Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) RD Block, Kubolong organised an awareness programme on “violence against women” on July 25-31 at RD Block Kubolong.

A press release by DLCW MSK Mokokchung stated that the programme was organised for Khanimu, Longjang, Longpha, Chami, Mopungchuket and Sungratsu villages.

Resource person, women welfare officer, DLCW Mokokchung, Moamenla Longkumer spoke on three types of violence against women–domestic violence, community violence and state violence.

She also briefed the gathering about the different services such as women helpline 181, Sakhi one stop centre, legal aid services, counselling service and different helpline numbers which was made available 24×7 for the welfare of women.

The programme was also attended by assistant commissioner of Mokokchung, Rohit Singh.
