A day legal awareness programme was conducted by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Mon for Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong(KNSK), Mopong Unit on October 18 at Mopong town.
A press release by DLSA Mon stated that panel lawyer, N Mannon, spoke on human trafficking, Domestic Violence Act and One Stop Centre which is already available in Mon District.
Panel lawyer, K Topha spoke on Consumer & RTI and emphasised on importance of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection Department. The meeting was chaired by retainer lawyer, M Moba and welcome note was delivered by KNSK Mopong unit, president, Echi Konyak.
Meanwhile, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mon, conducted sanitation programme and drive with Government High School Legal Literary Club, Mopong town on October 18.
panel lawyer, K Topha, spoke on importance of sanitation activities and encouraged students to live healthy life both physically and spiritually. He also spoke on various other topics such as POCSO, RTE, Juvenile Rights, CWC and urged students to be more vigilant by knowing one’s own rights.
Retainer lawyer, M Moba, spoke on LLC activities and encouraged both LLC teacher and students to be more enthusiastic in knowing and doing legal rights activities even in the days to come.
After the programme participants conducted mass cleanliness drive in and around school campus.
