Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) observed its 35th general conference on the theme, “Leadership and responsibility: Charting the course ahead”, at Lotha Hoho Ki here on Saturday.
DLSU has also selected a new team of executives for the tenure 2023-25, to be headed by Chumnran Humtsoe as president, Mhonbemo M. Kikon as vice president, Hachithung Ngullie as general secretary along with nine executive members.
The event was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe as special guest. In her speech, ADC Humtsoe stressed on the role of leadership. “Leadership is all about service and sacrifice”, she said. However, she reminded the gathered students and the leaders of DLSU that consistency was the key to success in every field.
Greetings message were delivered by Dimapur Lotha Hoho, Dimapur Lotha Eloe Ekhung and Dimapur Lotha Youth Organization. On the occasion, a special prayer for the students was offered by pastor Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, Rev. Zanao Mozhui. Earlier, the special guest on her arrival hoisted the union flag.
The programme began with an invocation by pastor Senjum Baptist Church, Roland T Ngullie. Welcome address was delivered by DLSU president, Benthungo Jungi. The programme concluded with benediction by CNY director, Bor Lengri Lotha Baptist Chruch, William Humtsoe.
